Healthy Peach Milkshake

3 big scoops low fat no sugar added vanilla icecream
1/4 can of Hansen's Peach Nectar drink
1/2 can peaches in light syrup
low fat non dairy whipped topping
...
Throw first three ingredients in the blender and pulse to desire consistancy. (You can add more juice if you want to thin it out.)

ChaLEAN Extreme 90-day Program - CHECK!

Just wanted to share w/ you all that I just finished 90 days of Chalean Extreme on Friday...and what a great feeling it was to complete a 90 day program!  Love the feeling of success and of feeling healthy!
On day 1...I took measurements, and on day 90 I took measurements...my goal was to lean up...not really to lose weight...so I'm so happy w/ the results!  I lost 17 total inches...and most of the inches came from my stomach and hips!  The places I was NOT happy with at all!  And a little added bonus...I only lost 6lbs...so that was great...leaned up, gained muscle, lost fat...and lost the fatty belly weight that was making me MAD!

3 Fitness Tips You CAN'T IGNORE!!!!

The secret to weight loss really boils down to 3 things to ensure you'll lose weight. Yes, if you're doing just 1 or 2 of these things, you could see some weight loss,... especially initially. But for most of us (me included), once that initial weight is lost, and you've hit a plateau or results just suddenly slowed...you have to really focus on these 3 things. 

If you’re struggling to shed fat or have hit a plateau, make sure you’re doing ALL 3 of the following consistently for at least 12 weeks:

1) Increase the intensity, frequency, and duration of your cardio workouts (to increase the duration, that could be as simple as hitting rewind a few times for the "turbo" section to extend it an extra 6 minutes, or repeat your favorite section)

2) Find out how many calories you're currently consuming and what can be improved. It takes 3500 calories excess to gain a pound and likewise a 3500 cal deficit to lose a lb.  So, over the course of 7 days, that's 500 calorie deficit/day. If you're metabolism is slow and you're not eating much now, you'll definitely have to hit the weights HARD to increase your metabolism, and start eating small frequent meals to get your metabolism up to a healthy pace (so you can eat MORE and still lose the weight).  Have you ever counted calories? Do you know what you're currently eating?  One thing all of those infomercial success stories have done (& everyone else that's had amazing success), is they've made sure they're burning more calories than they're consuming. They actually track their intake day by day. You can be THE healthiest eater on the planet AND workout, but if you're not paying attention to calories (or if you're metabolism is too slow), then you're fighting an uphill battle. There has to be a caloric deficit for your body to go to existing fat stores for energy. I hope that makes sense.  If you're unsure how many calories, one place to check is the “Daily Calorie Needs” Calculator on www.FreeDieting.com (over to the left on the home page).

3) Strength training intensely 2-3 times a week. This is TOUGH to fit in for most of us because it tends to be less enjoyable. But even if it's just for 15-20 minutes, that's fine, just make sure it's intense. That means you have to use heavy weights; heavy enough that you can't even finish the set. Once you're able to finish the set, it's time to pick up heavier weights. In order to make your body a fat-burning machine, you have to put muscle on your body. And yes, your muscle will increase in size slightly but your figure will decrease in size. But you can't pay much attention to the scale until you've been doing all 3 for about 6-8 weeks, because you’ll be gaining muscle and losing fat… sometimes the net on the scale is a GAIN, even though you are smaller. Not only will you be smaller, and have a MUCH easier time maintaining it, but with the added muscle and new habits, you'll be stronger, healthier and have a lot more energy to kick it up a notch with ALL your workouts.  The ChaLean Extreme program is a perfect way to ensure you’re getting results from your strength training.

Whole Wheat Cranberry Scones

Preheat oven to 375
Line a baking sheet w/ parchment or wax paper
You will need the following:
1 1/2 cups all purpose unbleached flour
2/3 cup ww flour
1/4 cup granulated evaporated cane sugar
2-1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 ts. sea salt
3 Tbsp butter cut into small pieces
1/4 cup fruit juice sweetened
dried cranberries
2 tsp grated orange rind
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup fat free buttermilk
1 tsp confectioner's sugar

Combine the butter, flour, ww flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, & salt in large bowl.  With a pastry blender, cut into the butter until the mixture is crumbly.  Add the cranberries & orange rind & stir w/ a fork until the dry ingredients are just moistened.  Gather the mixture into a ball, place on the baking sheet, & pat into 7-inch circle.  Cut into 10 one inch wedges w/ a knife dipped in flour.  Do not separate the wedges.  Bake until golden brown & when a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.  20 min roughly.  Transfer to rack to cool, sprinkle Confectioner's sugar and enjoy!

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS

I have to share this story w/ you...know that it comes straight from my heart to your heart...and if you are overweight...Please think about this seriously.  Last night I took my niece and my daughter to a school roller skate night...in the past I was too heavy and felt too embarrassed to skate around a rink and try and help teach my daughter how to skate.  We had a skate rink in my home town and I went skating pretty much every Friday night I could as a kid...and loved it.  How selfish was I to let my weight get in the way, of letting my daughter enjoy that same fun!  But it did!!  I'm so sorry my daughter.  Please forgive me.

With that said...and now 45lbs lighter...I took them last night...put my rollerblades on and stepped on that rink w/ complete confidence and had one of the most fun nights w/ my daughter and niece, I've had in a long time.  If your weight is holding you back, let TODAY BE THE DAY, YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!  Now all I want to do is fun active playdates w/ my daughter...because I feel so much more healthy and CONFIDENT!

Started Lean Circuit today by Chalean Extreme

Hey Everyone...started day 60 of ChaLEAN Extreme which is Lean Circuit 1...today...and whoa...that's my kinda workout...the kind of workout that you think...I CAN'T DO THIS...but then you tell yourself...YES I CAN...and you do...felt so great doing such a challenging workout and succeeding!!

Two Healthy Recipes

Peanut Butter or Almond Butter Oatmeal:  310 calories
1/2 cup whole-grain oats
1 cup water
Pinch of salt
Dash of cinnamon
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 TBSP Peanut/Almond Butter
(Prepare oats w/ water and salt, or according to package directions, then add the other ingredients, stir and enjoy)

Smoothie:
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 fresh pineapple
1/4 papaya
1/4 cup mango
Honey to taste/No calorie sweetner
1/2 cup ice
Optional:  1/2 scoop Shakeology
(Add all ingredients except ice...blend...30 seconds...add ice...blend till smooth!

My Weight Loss I didn't know I could achieve!!

Ok...I just have to share this real quick...You never know what you are capable of till you try...I've weighed 165 most of my life...high school, college, before kids...between kids...until I then gained extra 30lbs thinking it was normal midlife...but when you are being consistent...working out to extend your life, be an example, feel better about yourself, whatever...You can ACHIEVE amazing things...

My goal was to get to 165...well, I obviously did that...but I just kept working out...and eating healthier than I ever have...and the weight just kept coming off...when I hit the 150's...I was like whoa...never seen that on the scale before...and I just kept feeling healthier and healthier and stronger and stronger!  Then I started w/ Chalean Extreme...and starting losing inches...12.75 to be exact in 60 days...but only 3lbs...which is awesome right...Muscle weighs more fat...and muscle burns FAT!

But what I have to share...is this morning I got up, stepped on the scale and was 149.4!!!!!  Never in my whole life have I weighed that...Wah!!!

I just wanted to share that...because YOU NEED TO KNOW, YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO...YOU JUST HAVE TO BE CONSISTENT...AND NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Fitness Coach Teena Bambolo

Just introducing myself...

I just joined Team Beachbody...as a fitness coach...and I'm so excited about this opportunity.  Opportunity to share my weight loss journey and now fitness tips and tricks...plus how to be busy...and yet still have time for family, friends and fun.

I'm a past collegiate athlete and thought after having a child that any weight gained would just drop off...1/2 of it dropped immediately...but the other half not so MUCH!!  So I had to figure out a way to lose the weight.  Turbo  Jam was that answer for me...in 3 months I lost 30lbs!  Then I was a little lazy...and slowed gained most of that back...and then got pregnant w/ my son.  Only gained 35lbs...and lost that immediately...but was still 30 pounds overweight...I actually thought maybe this is just how life is...35 years old so, mother of two...maybe this is just the weight you are...but I just hated that none of my clothes fit...that I didn't feel pretty, and then I saw a picture of myself w/ a double chin...and realized I was roughly 5lbs away from being obese!!  What...no MORE!  Turbo Jam for me again...and then I learned of ChaLEAN Extreme...so w/ that and eating very low calories and no sugar lost 45 POUNDS!!

Now I just want help others...Hopefully, you can learn from me...and maybe, just maybe if you trust me...I can help you reach your fitness goals!
